Currently there are no direct flights to Albania from London but BA has announced that a direct service will start 27 March 2006 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Gatwick. Prices from £205 return.  From London Alitalia fly via Rome or Milan, Austrian Airlines via Vienna, and Malev Hungarian Airlines via Budapest.  Albania’s one international airport, Mother Teresa Airport (Rinas), is approx. 25 km from Tirana and transfer to the capital is serviced by taxi.
